Edit 2/21/20: I've upgraded this to 4 stars because I have to use the device when in doubt. I got tech when I couldn't get another modem (different brand) to connect to my ISP. The reason was that the coax from the attic to the modem was old (30+ years old) and had too much noise for a high performance service and modem. while the old modem was more tolerant. The technician ran a new cable and everything is working now. So my assessment of this refurbished NetGear device was probably wrong. ************************* 2 stars because it arrived quickly (Prime next day) and with good packaging. But after 4 hours and 3 calls to Spectrum tech support this modem is going back. It took 30 minutes to get it connected to the internet (lots of attempts) but it disconnected shortly after. When it did connect, the modem would not connect to either of the two different routers. So in the end I got the Spectrum back to my old Netgear MAC address and my network stayed the same. old but working. "Certified Refurbished". ? I do not think so! Maybe recon gear is crap shooting. I will go looking for more
