I clicked on the sizing link and it said the average size is 12/14 so I ordered this. My son wears a size 10 but he has outgrown this size so I went for a 12/14. However, when the jacket arrived it was a size 10/12. It still fits him, but I'm not sure we'll last two winters with it because of the length of the sleeve. This is a thick warm jacket though and should be enough for a cold Midwest winter. The olive color pictured does not match the actual color (it's a darker olive color, not the tan I was hoping for). The detachable hood is a bonus as the weather doesn't always call for a hood. Buttons on pockets feel a bit cheap, not sure if they will stand up to repeated use; the time will show. All in all, can't complain since we bought it from Revain for thirty-eight dollars. You can't go wrong with this.
