Review on ๐Ÿ’ง NEIKO 30252A Water and Oil Separator: Enhance Air Line Performance, Extend Pneumatic Tool Lifespan by Robert Yates

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not. Simply not. on Air-Compressor Accessories

I saw some warning signs at first, but I took the risk and paid the price. Poorly made, with no clear quality control, it leaked and eventually fell apart. I've tried fixing the leak by tightening it to the point where I think the Thor will have trouble unscrewing it, but it's still leaking. After loosening it, I used too much torque when initially tightening and it just fell apart before my eyes. Okay, I overdid it and didn't like it. But I further examined my recently destroyed separator and found a pile of crystallized, hardened debris, which I assume is some kind of glue? This clearly failed. And the top of the filter is just a friction fit with a rubber fitting. There is not a single protected part in the entire filter! No welds, no real glue, no sealant, no snap parts, nothing. From the packaging you can see immediately that the thing is really badly assembled. You know that cheap flimsy plastic that's held together with two staples? Either way, if you see an average rating and below average ratings, just don't buy it. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. I don't fully trust Neiko as a company, but after this filter they definitely took a step down in my rating. Be selective about what you save!

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Hard to tell
