These beeps are LOUD, but only if you connect them directly to the battery. I originally used my existing derailleur and replaced the horns. Hellas were louder, but not by much. It's hard to measure loudness when my previous horn was higher and this one has more midrange. However, I read in a review that these horns are noticeably louder if you plug them directly into a battery. I took the relay kit and tried again. Damned. It was a lot louder. With the stock swap, it was more like, "Hey! Awaken! With direct battery connection it was more "GTFOMW!" If like me you live in a big city where the streets mean a lot, you need this. There's nothing quite like impressing unknowing motorists.
