Not Plug and Play for Honda Odyssey, but good horns!

Good, loud and reliable horn. I installed this on my 2006 Odyssey after my horns got rusty. Since the Hella horn has a ground pin I had to wire my own ground lead and connect it to the bracket but ground it to the frame. I also had to modify the power cable by changing the original clip on the old Klaxon so I could reuse the factory wiring harnesses. There are lots of do-it-yourself things here that cannot replace plug and play.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Security

Great addition to my Subaru!

I like almost everything about my 2020 Subaru Outback except the horn (like a clown car). The factory horn is weak, inefficient and almost uncomfortable. The problem is that you have to remove the entire front of the car to get to the factory horns to replace them (and I wasn't willing to do that). on the front of the battery) and connected directly to the battery via a pair of relays. A simple fuse tap in the fuse box was used to connect them to the existing horn circuitry so they would all…

Odd Project: Replacement Parts

So I didn't put them in the car. I made a box using a 12V 7A SLA battery and attached one of these horns to the front. A simple button completes the circuit. I made them for a backyard party that had the theme "you hum, we drink". When cars drive by, they honk and we drink. Well I had an idea to honk back. They are good quality and quite noisy. They are not weak like some horns on imported cars. After this project I made a compressor horn. It was a bit over the top. They were inexpensive and…

Hello Loud IF you in Electrics

These beeps are LOUD, but only if you connect them directly to the battery. I originally used my existing derailleur and replaced the horns. Hellas were louder, but not by much. It's hard to measure loudness when my previous horn was higher and this one has more midrange. However, I read in a review that these horns are noticeably louder if you plug them directly into a battery. I took the relay kit and tried again. Damned. It was a lot louder. With the stock swap, it was more like, "Hey…

Pros
  • disc horns come with an M8 horn bolt mount and 6.3mm flat open blade terminals.
Cons
  • Expensive

Really Toyota? in lighting and electrical engineering

These are inexpensive replacement horns for our RAV4, but Toyota should be ashamed of the crappy, weak, inefficient and tinny Denso horns they factory install. I know pennies add up when building a car, but this is a huge improvement for under $20. They compare well to the Hella Supertone sounds I installed on my 2017 Corolla iM, but do not require a relay and are a direct replacement, including a socket. Easy to install, only requires a 10mm and 12mm socket (wrench) and a small flat blade to…
