Expiration Date Problems

Admittedly bought more out of curiosity than necessity. I don't use straws that often, but I think my friends and I could use most of them within the stated 12 month expiration date. However, when they arrived the manufacture date showed they were made 9 months ago which means I only have 3 months to use up 50 straws. I understand this is more of a logistical issue, but it shows a glaring lack of product viability. The straws themselves are good and quite fun. It starts to smell a bit strange inside after a while, but the herbal taste was minimal and pleasant once it gets inside. Pretty strong but if you chew you need to be careful as they will start to break into strips. if you do it for a while All in all, I don't regret the purchase, but I definitely won't buy it again. Metal is indeed better and, given that it's reusable, less expensive, despite what the brand comparison chart says.
