Perfect for our Cumbor goals! We have 3 gates with built in pet door. One for the top of the ladder, one for the bottom and one to protect the dog from the kitty litter. When we moved in, all the openings we had to put the gate in were too big. We had to use all the little expanders that came with the 3 gates and also the wall sitter right at the top and bottom of the stairs leaving us with nothing left for the 3 gates. We ended up cramming him into one of the little doors, but it didn't work where he was. I was about to give up and buy a big gate when I stumbled across it. I am very happy that I bought this extender. It's durable and looks like it came with the gate. We now have a much sturdier gate at the top of the stairs because it only has one large expander and no longer requires a wall sitter. Also, I was able to move the litter box to a better spot and we are all much happier! The only thing that bothers me is the price. It costs about half that of a new large gate, which is a bit pricey considering it's just a piece of metal. If it were a bit smaller I would consider buying another one for the base of the stairs but this gate bothers me less so I'll end up only having one if the price doesn't go down.
