Review on ๐Ÿš› Monroe 37289 OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber: Unparalleled Performance and Superior Stability by Justin Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good shocks for less than $40

For Rav4 Sport 2010 - Original Tokiko shocks, 1 lost oil after 40,000 mics and the ride was a bit slack on big bumps but bearable. Now I changed it to 64k. I was looking at the KYB GR-2/EXCEL-G but decided to order this OE Spectrum #37289 as I have had good results with the Monroe Sensa-Trac in the past when the price was right. According to Monroe's website, the OE Spectrum shocks feature an ICV (Shock Control Valve) design and an LST (Low Speed Tuning) piston design. I was hit and noticed the box has links to all 3: Reflex, Sensa-Trac, OE Spectrum. The shock absorbers in the box are marked OE Spectrum. They seem to offer good rebound control without being too stiff, but don't expect a smooth ride when you have a sporty option.

Pros
  • Tough finish
Cons
  • Protection
