Great product perfect fit

I first went to the Monroe website and was given the product number of the shock absorbers for my car. Then I went to Revine to order. Product number entered. Was met in a few days. They were installed by my local workshop, everything went according to plan.

Product was not expected.

Product not comparable to RAV 4. Travel is not the same as travel. I didn't know that until the last return date. I had to buy the right product and consider the losses when buying Revain. Attempts to speak to Revain will only result in "non-refundable". Very disappointing.

RAV4 Monroe Shocks

The shocks are great and helped offset the rather stiff ride of the stock shocks. I changed them on a journey of 103,000 km, I regret not having done it sooner. There was a gas charge that increases length if you let it sit on the ground without holding it, the original shocks lost their charge and traveled very tight. If you want control but a smoother ride, I recommend this shock.

Rav4 Rear Shocks

These shocks were fitted to the rear of my 2012 Toyota Rav4. They are much better than the original KYB shocks that came from the factory. Ride comfort is excellent compared to the old ones. The original only had about 45,000 miles. The Monro now has around 17,000 miles on it and is still going strong (or soft, so to speak). They take dips and potholes pretty well.

Shock absorber leaking after 5000 km.

I installed a pair of these shocks on my 2008 RAV4 in October 2015. After only 5,000 miles both are leaking. They fit and work well but I cannot recommend them due to premature failure. Remember these dampers are made in China. A low price has a high price! I've been repairing cars myself for over 40 years and I've never had a shock absorber fail so quickly.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good shocks for less than $40

For Rav4 Sport 2010 - Original Tokiko shocks, 1 lost oil after 40,000 mics and the ride was a bit slack on big bumps but bearable. Now I changed it to 64k. I was looking at the KYB GR-2/EXCEL-G but decided to order this OE Spectrum #37289 as I have had good results with the Monroe Sensa-Trac in the past when the price was right. According to Monroe's website, the OE Spectrum shocks feature an ICV (Shock Control Valve) design and an LST (Low Speed Tuning) piston design. I was hit and noticed the

Good Value: Rebuilt my car

I have a 2010 RAV-4 with about 40,000 miles that I have owned since purchase. I've had enough of rough driving lately and when I looked at the original (a US made Tokico on my Canadian built RAV) I found that the driver's side was leaking quite a bit and I had to replace the shock absorbers. To be honest, I chose them both because of the reasonable price and previous experience with Monroe Sensa-Trac luggage racks. I put about 2,000 miles on them and they definitely mitigated the rough ride and
