Review on 🧢 Premium Wooden Yarn Swift, Traditional Amish Style, Adjustable Length 2.5-6 Feet by Heather Shaw

Maximum simplicity. but if you're looking for precision, maybe not.

So this really is the perfect model with a simplified design. No nuts or bolts; nothing superfluous. However, the cuts and drilling are not "precise" so there is LOTS of play everywhere. The base parts are loose. hands move. The pins move in their holes. All of this is forgivable and even necessary, but the 72-inch peg holes are actually 70.5 inches. There is no 36" (1 yd) mark, only 38". You can get 36 by using 3 of the 38" holes and 1 of the 30" holes, but you may encounter even more wobble. The 54 inch holes seem to be there. Not sure if this is an issue with other Amish-type Swifts (reading reviews on other brands it might be) or if it's just the Amish China ones. (LOL?)

Pros
  • Crafted from durable wood, Swift's smooth finish enhances aesthetics and the structure leaves no room for yarn to snag.
Cons
  • Discontinued model
