This cap was causing the check engine light to come on. The dealer attempted to run a diagnostic, but all other components of the fuel evaporative system were working properly. After resetting the Check Engine light, I drove the car for about 3 hours, after which the Check Engine light came on again. After resetting the light and replacing the new gas cap with my old one, the problem was gone. This proves that this gas cap has a serious air leak somewhere, causing the evaporative fuel system to go into a "large leak” alarm and the engine light to come on. . Do not buy this product.
