Review on πŸ”’ POP & LOCK PL8200 Power Tailgate Lock for Ford F150 and Mazda B Series: Secure Your Truck's Bed with Effortless Power by Robert Dabney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not exactly a teardrop shape. Instructions are questionable.

Does not quite fit the factory tailgate latch. Modifications were required to make it usable. Nothing special. A Dremel cutting wheel tool and grinding wheel were required to cut the bracket to fit. The instructions tell you to run electrical wires up the passenger side door sill to connect to the power door locks on the pillar. It was easier to start mine from the driver's side. You need to drill a hole in the tailgate to put the power lock through and unlock the cable. Plan accordingly. Installed on a 2004 Ford F-350 Crew Cab.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list will go on.
