Review on 16-Core, 32-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor - AMD Ryzen 9 5950X by Boyan Popov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

On average, it turns out ~ 4.6 GHz for all cores for a 32x stream and ~ 5 GHz for a 1-2 stream. With "auto-overclocking" through CTR 2.1, the test results are worse. How Golden Sample was defined in it.

Pros
  • Very nice processor. After settings, it outperforms 32-core 64-thread Threader in Cinebench23. Crosshair VIII Extreme mother, regular AMD 128GB @ 3333 memory. Cooling kraken three-section. Everything is set up so that in idle time it is almost silent.
Cons
  • Stock performance is underestimated relative to real capabilities. A rather complicated overclocking strategy if the goal is to get both a fast low-flow and a cold multi-thread. Tried many options up to PBO Shaminocharged + Voltage Suspension. But I didn’t bother at all (I didn’t select multipliers for each core separately)
