I am generally satisfied with the device. The hydraulic fittings are British standard which is fine if you live in England. If you want SAE pull out the fittings and replace with JIC, works great. One problem I'm having is that my lift table falls down like a rock in fall mode and I don't see how to fix this. Anyone who mentions NO INSTRUCTIONS makes perfect sense, all they have to do is put it online, easy right? Ken, I wanted to update my comments. The device has a non-return valve on the pressure connection. Remove the hose fitting, the check valve rotate counterclockwise with a straight screwdriver. This is a pressure operated check valve and should be factory set at approximately 10,000 pounds. This valve drains a large amount of hydraulic fluid, but when the fluid is lowered or returned, the piston closes, slowing down the hydraulic cylinder's descent. I modified the check valve for my application, I have a lift table that can lift 500 to 1500 lbs. This check valve is perfect because the more weight I put on the lift table, the slower it goes down, its pressure activated. That works great.
