Review on πŸš€ Superfast Racing 4" Red Cold Air Intake System + Heat Shield Upgrade for 1999-2006 GMC/Chevy V8 4.8L/5.3L/6.0L / Silverado 1500/2500/3500 by Carl Movahed

Good reception at a good price. Would buy again.

I installed this intake on my 2001 Chevy Suburban 5.3L. Installation was pretty easy, but the instructions left a lot to be desired. If you want to install the new airbox section you will need to bend it a bit and work with it to line up the mounting holes, but that wasn't too difficult. Don't expect an increase in mileage, but compared to the stock system that had all that dead space in the intake resonator, this should at least improve airflow. I did notice some throttle response, so that's something. The straight coupler they send you is 4" tall, you really should use a 4" to 3.5" coupler to connect the intake manifold to your MAF. . Be careful hand tightening them and they will do the trick. Generally worth the money. Don't spend more than $300 for one shot, you'll get something of the same quality. Invest your money elsewhere in the car/truck. If you want to put on a pre-filter I used the one I found at Revain and it fits perfectly: FILTERWEARS Pre-Filter K281K For K&N Air Filters RE-0810 RE-0870
