Good value for money, easy installation

I have a Silverado 05 MY, 1500, 5.3L, 4x4, LS. All parts came with the necessary hardware, just remember to save the 3 screws from the old pan to attach the heat shield. The instructions are very clear and have large pictures. It only took me about 20 minutes to install it. The rubber boot that goes from the hose to the sensor is a bit big, but it fits seamlessly.

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • Upgradable

Goes well with my 2001 Silverado

If you plan on using a cold air intake, buy this one. You can't beat the price! Clamps suck so buy something better but everything else works great. Save money and buy this one. The filter is a little long, but air filters from other manufacturers are fine. Be sure to remove the tray that held the bottom of the factory airbox. This allows you to shoot straight into the fresh air. I ordered a 60 degree mandrel bend and an extra coupler. I will remove the air filter from the engine compartment.

  • Handy item
Cons
  • Not the best

Not worth the money (junk)

Save money and buy genuine K&N sets. It's Chinese junk so I guess I got what I paid for. Nothing but a headache that took three hours to get it working properly. If you have a throttle body gasket you will need to cut the rubber off a bit or it will end up in the fan blades. The filter is cheap and the clamps can only be used for one-time tightening. If you need to move the clamp, they undress. The manual focuses more on removing the box and old air supply system than installing the cold air…

Very important. Better throttle response. Medium travel kit

Yes, I'm a mechanic. Still not on it. This is not a display item, the cuffs are cheap, the polished metal is not perfect but ribbed. My truck at the shop had a cracked air intake. I use this as an available replacement. The truck has better throttle response, a bit more sound at full throttle, but not bad. The fit on the MAF isn't very good, the silicone will tighten but needs to have an adapter to the 'neck down' to the MAF. I made plastic on a lathe, I can buy it.

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

I can't say it was easy to install but it's my fault I have a 2008 GMC Savana 1500 Van! And nothing but I love my vans‼️ This product never said it would fit my van, it even said it didn't, I'm so glad it does! Because wow sounds and works great! And the price is awesome! I haven't driven it far enough to know for sure, but I do know my average mpg has gone up and I'm glad it will help me at least an mpg or two! If I'm as happy with it as I am, I can't imagine anyone who has a car he actually…

Works and is expensive

easy enough to install, it won't be 100% accurate and not worth it, it's a cheap kit! Plan accordingly! It does what it's supposed to and you can see the difference. Installed this on my wife's speedo and it helped with throttle response compared to the OEM setup. I have a solid black rig. As this is Revain's second kit, installation time has been cut in half. It's really simple and doesn't require much modification. To install the MAF sensor, I usually cut a piece of the OE rubber boot to…

Good reception at a good price. Would buy again.

I installed this intake on my 2001 Chevy Suburban 5.3L. Installation was pretty easy, but the instructions left a lot to be desired. If you want to install the new airbox section you will need to bend it a bit and work with it to line up the mounting holes, but that wasn't too difficult. Don't expect an increase in mileage, but compared to the stock system that had all that dead space in the intake resonator, this should at least improve airflow. I did notice some throttle response, so that's…

$60 can't go wrong, in the air intake

An honest review of this product from the point of view of a mechanic and a person not aligned with the performance of the car, the product is described accurately, and the price reflects the quality. original components. Keep that in mind when trying to replicate the quality of a $200 form versus a $60 form and trust that you'll live with lye. The silicone boots are very thin and not reinforced like more expensive sets. simple and will only be messy from the installation onwards. The clamps…

It works and that's all it has to do.

Do yourself a favor, no matter what car you want to fit this air intake in, buy something cheap like this kit. Don't spend a few hundred dollars on those K&N "cold air" kits or those overpriced automakers' "performance" intakes. All you buy is a piece of pipe with a filter on it. You may read in some articles or hear from some "car experts" that you should only buy the expensive ones and the reason they are so expensive is because all the research and development goes into testing these and…
