These pads aren't bad but I wouldn't trust them for hard or heavy falls. I'm a standard size adult, small to medium, and ordered them in a large size. They fit me but I wasn't expecting them to fit someone on the larger side of a medium size. Aside from being too small, I wouldn't trust them to protect someone over 150lbs in a fall. They claim to be for people under 80kg or 176lbs but I wouldn't recommend that. The quality of these pads is good. They didn't have any flaws, but they're definitely not the most comfortable pads I've worn. They tend to shift and I wouldn't even wear them sleeveless. I tested these rubbers for drips before wearing them out on my longboard. When I first tested them on a hardwood floor, they immediately scratched and rubbed. This is not surprising and is part of their testing, but unfortunately they were more damaged than I expected. I weigh much less than the maximum allowable weight for these pads and just tested them by falling forward onto my elbows and knees. The amount of damage they sustained in the fall clearly shows that if you were wearing them in a high speed fall or hard impact they probably wouldn't offer enough protection. In general I think these pads are suitable for kids moving at low speeds, but I wouldn't recommend them for adults who can move at a higher speed in a fall.
