Review on Wera 05051462001 Bitholding Screwdriver Quick Release by Anthony Payton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great cartridge, great ergonomics

I was a bit disappointed when I first opened the box as it was smaller than I expected. I then compared it to my lifetime Craftsman #2 Phillips and found that the handle is longer and has a larger diameter at its widest point. Then I started using it and found that the ergonomics are far superior to the traditional screwdrivers I've always used. The hexagonal ring around the butt end, where the thumb rests, provides more grip than if it were rounded. Your index finger sits in a narrow area on the back, while your middle and ring fingers cover the widest part, providing more control and comfort than a standard screwdriver that doesn't have these cones. The black part of the grip is made of hard plastic, while the green areas are made of synthetic rubber, which greatly improves grip. The chuck works quite well and holds both impact and straight bits securely. You push forward to release the chuck and the chuck stays in the forward position until the next bit is inserted and it automatically locks, which is a nice feature. 100mm bits give you the standard length of a typical #2 screwdriver. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071QY6X16
