Bought this ice scraper for my dad after he broke it. I admit the pink color was perhaps the main motivating factor after the price. For around $4, this is what you would expect. It works a little better than the free ice scrapers you sometimes get as gifts, but it's very cheap to keep. In my opinion, the combination of hollow handle and foam as well as cheap plastic contributes about the same amount. Black plastic has some advantages, which helps as it doesn't break as easily, an issue I've had with harder, more brittle plastic in the past. However, this means it can scrape the ice a bit unevenly and struggles with some of the toughest spots. The foam grip is also more comfortable than I expected, although the black lugs are a little awkwardly placed for my (admittedly small) hands. more trouble than any other small hand scraper I've used. It didn't break when I accidentally stepped on it. It's small enough to easily fit in the glove box if needed, and the softer plastic isn't likely to scratch anything. The small size made it scratch forever, but that's what I knew beforehand. It tends to scratch a bit unevenly. [Overall] I liked it, it works quite well. There's really no reason not to buy one when you need a small emergency ice scraper and don't have to deal with tons of ice/sleet in the winter. However, if you see a cheaper one, it's probably just as good.
