This is a cute jacket and not only is it waterproof, it's also waterproof. So suitable for heavier rain, not just splashes. Be careful when washing with normal detergent. For washing you need a special waterproof soap. Or you can just wash your hands in water if it's not particularly dirty. It was a little pricey, but we couldn't find a waterproof jacket (only waterproof) at Target or Walmart, so we're glad we have one. He has held up well so far and we hope to pass him on to our youngest son when the eldest outgrows him. Basically satisfied.
