I needed a 20A extension cord. Most store-bought heavy-duty power strips are only rated for 15 amps due to the plug and plug. I bought this connector to use with the SOOW 12AWG 3 wire cable. I liked that the connector had a removable insert for the 5/8 inch cable I was using. The connector is easy to connect and comes with splicing instructions.
