Wife loves it because it's easy to operate with one foot and keeps the door secure. I like it because it was easy to install on my non-Anderson wood sliding doors. I drilled pilot holes in the end of the door for 2 screws to attach the lock and 1 hole in the bottom rail for the pin lock. The 1/2" pin hole seemed too big for the 1/4" pin. So I drilled a 3/8" hole and it works great! The instructions show how to remove the door since the hole needed to lock the pin in the track is about 1" from the end of the door too close for a thick drill to hold the drill vertical However I have a Dewalt 12v cordless drill The dill touched the door and the bit was slightly skewed but the pin fits easily in the hole. I didn't use bushings to cover the latch hole as the hole isn't visible at the bottom of the rail.
