Review on ELEGOO 3D Printer Resin: UV-Curing Photopolymer for LCD 3D Printing - Blue 500G by Joe Jordan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great with very few failed runs and great results

To be honest it's the only resin I've used, I've started using it since I bought an Elegoo brand 3D printer and found out the first couple of bottles i would use their brand to be sure. Since then I have continued to buy this particular resin. The choice of colors is great, so far I've used grey, white, black and bright red and they all turned out great. I've had very few bad runs on my prints and they may not have been resin related. The reasons I only bought this resin are as follows, the faint smell is barely noticeable to me, 90% IPA actually smells MUCH more noticeable than resin and as I use this one in my rec room at home it matters a lot to me, well , actually to my wife, but that's the main thing. ; ]- The price is not the lowest and not the highest so I think it's a fair value.- The printing results were really great, I will add some photos to the review.- I think I have a good thing. So why bother with it. The only thing that struck me about this resin is the following: - It is very important to check the exposure time of the resin before printing, some of the darker colors take more seconds per layer. - White resin sometimes has visible layer lines in the final print. You can't feel or see them when you paint, but if it's just bare resin they're sometimes visible. You need a curing light if you live in a place where you don't get enough sunlight. I'm in the Pacific Northwest and left an imprint on my windowsill for a week that still hasn't fully healed. But under UV light on a turntable, most prints are ready in 5-6 minutes. If I experience anything different or start getting different results I will update this review.
