I ran fiber between my home (where the internet comes from) and my business (where my home office and servers are) many years ago when 1Mbps was the best our ISP could offer. The fiber was multimode 62.5/125 OM1. When I realized I could have chosen something better for the same price, the fiber was already buried and I thought I was doomed to 100Mbps forever. I recently started searching again and found 1000Base-LX and mode conditioning cables. I went this route but due to a number of incorrectly shipped parts I never received a full set of hardware. In the meantime I found these guys and decided to give it a try. They worked great on my existing setup. According to the iPerf benchmark, I get 950Mbps at 1000ft from 62.5/125 to a pair and another 350ft to load. I couldn't be happier with this product.
