Weak metal bends under pressure! I only used garlic for this press and shortly after that the two sides didn't fit together due to the metal bending and warping and coming apart at the seams. I'm not a tight grip bodybuilder. But I'm a mom, so most likely a comparable strength. I mean, I could probably look at a clove of garlic like I look at my child who's about to take a break, and that clove of garlic will just crumble in a flash of my Mona Lisa look. So why buy a garlic press at all, you ask yourself. Well, because I really don't want to get emotional with every clove of garlic I see. I bought this product to make my life easier, but as it turned out, this product was easily beaten by less than 50 cloves of garlic. Now it's just sad.
