Fantastic socket set! I'm a weekend mechanic. If I have the opportunity to fix something on my cars, I will try. I have an old set of 1/2 inch sockets and a wrench that my dad gave me. This set is missing some sockets and most sockets have 12 instead of 6 sockets. This is a quality set but it costs twice as much to replace. This set is just as good if not better. The wrench and sockets are heavy and well made. The ratchet has about twice as many ratchet points as my Master, meaning it's more effective in tight spaces. In summary, this set feels like quality in your hand and at an amazing price! August 2019 update Still loving this socket set. This set is not made for percussion instruments but I thought for the price I would replace it if it broke but they have withstood all the abuse I have put them through and not even a scratch was visible. I bought a Ryobi 1/2 impact wrench and have used these sockets on both lug nuts and a few other rusty bolt projects. The impact wrench mitigates the penalty, but I had no problems. Buy with confidence!
