Took me a minute to figure it out. Plug and play means removing the lightbulb from the socket, now you take a new plug and put it in the lightbulb socket from which you removed the lightbulb. Now glue or screw the rectangular black box to the bulkhead on the inside of the truck taillight housing and screw the same bulb to the underside of the new taillight housing. Now slide the taillight into the truck and screw it on. Remove the bulb and insert the new plug into the bulb socket. That is the answer! OMG so easy now. Don't unplug the whole plug, just leave the whole line intact, no need to unplug the whole line, just take out the bulb and plug in a new plug and play that lamp socket, that's it. Very easy.
