Wanted the comfort of a spring punch but my imports sucked. I turned to Revane and waited to command Starrett. I found this from a reputable brand with good reviews so thought I'd save a few bucks. I don't regret it at all. If I had a job that required me to carry a punch in my pocket I would order a Starrett purely for reputation, but for a home handyman or weekend mechanic the Fowler is more than enough. It is secure, large enough to hold well and shows no visible distortion when used on mild steel. Of course it will need to be sharpened at some point, but it will stay sharp. I tried it on a forged wrench and it also left small marks on the hardened steel, but too small to start with a reasonably sized drill. A few tests with a wrench also flattened the tip noticeably, but not enough that a few seconds on a belt sander didn't correct the situation. I have no idea how the Starrett will perform with a wrench, but thought potential buyers might want to know the limitations of this hit.
