I bought this backpack for our cat to use in rough terrain. At first she didn't like it, but then she got used to it and enjoyed looking through the side lattice windows. Before the big trip, we took her on short hikes and car rides so that she got used to carrying it. I was skeptical about this product based on some of the bad reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. I was not disappointed. The quality of the backpack is very durable and the fluffy pillow inside allows the cat to lie comfortably. My husband carried it most of the time but my cat weighed 18 pounds adding it to the weight of the backpack and it wasn't too heavy for my petite build. The only negative thing I can note is that it was quite difficult to get the plastic bladder in place at first, but once it was in place it stayed in place. Overall, we really like this product and it's a lot better than the usual cumbersome and difficult to carry.
