Review on πŸ‘ GSP NCV53912 CV Axle Shaft Assembly - Right Front Passenger Side, black: Excellent Performance and Durability by Marcus Block

Shaft/joint broken after 1 week

I bought this CV axle in March 2018 and installed it about 3 weeks ago. Everything went smoothly during installation (except for the metal gearbox gasket that was bent on delivery) and the car ran like new. After driving the car on the freeway for a week, I suddenly felt a very strong vibration from the passenger side of my 2008 Altima and stopped without finding anything obvious. I've looked at the motor and other built-in parts (struts, forearms, brake pads and rotors) and haven't found anything wrong, including the shaft, which looks fine. The vibration removed the top motor mount and I replaced it, and the other top mount on the passenger side vibrated intermittently. Pick it up and watch how the car turns the wheels while driving - and the shaft moved everywhere - OBVIOUSLY BAD, and tomorrow it will be removed and replaced with another. - I will update this review and see what happens when I try to get it under warranty - Needless to say I am very disappointed with this product - although I understand that any moving part, even new ones, can fail.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
