Review on OTC 5613 Vacuum Pressure Gauge by Stephen Pendergrass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Happy to report a zero reading

Hooray I failed the calibration and when not in use it reads a perfect reading at zero. I had to replace the one I had after it fell into my radiator fan (different brand/parts store)! It's cool that it does the fuel pressure, but I'm already one of them so it's just for the vacuum. This is required to set the idle mixture on the 72 C10 Chev Quadrajet! It's also larger than my spare and most importantly has a bracket for hanging - maybe now I won't drop it in my radiator fan! Because it's larger and can easily hang on my hood, it's a lot easier to read. The storage box is a plus too, although I think it's just another box to figure out where to store. 1. World problem, that's ha!

Pros
  • Quick diagnosis of internal engine problems such as bad valve rings and leaking head gaskets
Cons
  • Not an automatic
