Fairly pricey, but again this is a snazzy "corporate" hard drive with a 5 year warranty. Fast - surprising. in Backblaze's 2021 Q2 Drive Report, where they were listed at 0.41% bounce, not the lowest, but they also posted high hours, which boosted my confidence. Thank you Backblaze! Excellent and very informative comparisons. First, I check the information printed on the disc label, including QR codes. The specific model number arrived "as ordered", good. The QR codes on the drives are verified by Seagate, including warranty verification. (Checking Seagate's QR code will give you the last few characters of the hard drive's serial number so you can compare them.) Other positive points. I have one of these on a NAS where various NAS volumes are backed up and the associated drive ends up in a safe at the bank. (Evidence from Fire of Paradise and others shows that bank vaults tolerate wildfire well.) So somewhere there is a fresh copy of all the data for 7-10-14 days. Guys, back up your data if you value your time and most importantly your sanity. I learned my backup lesson the hard way and I think this drive will perform great.
