Works well for this antenna length. Like the other one I have (62" Super Gainer), I can easily get into one of my repeaters that I use regularly through the Sacramento Valley (East Side of the Valley Foothills <> Bay Area) with a bit of trepidation (expected ) and had no issues with receiving/transmitting. I installed it about halfway down/bottom of the tailgate of one of my SUVs. Works pretty well compared to several other antennas I have that are the same length/height. I use bigger antennas but in tight spaces in the woods I sometimes need a little lower height to avoid branches while moving/mobile and this one will work Will keep in the cargo hold - not in the garage like many others stay that i have..seems to be very good quality i tried it today on the freeway and just got a little wind noise but i listened to it otherwise i might not have noticed.check Be sure to tighten all hex set screws before use. It comes with a hex wrench (although I always throw them away as I have my good sets). I have no regrets and stay with the car.
