Replaced the starter motor on my 2004 4Runner V8. This is an optional 2kW starter that is part of the cold weather package. My car had a standard starter (1.4kw or so). But this starter fits perfectly. Everything was plug and play. I would suggest removing the rubber/plastic hoses covering the vents until you're done installing and then reinstalling them as they break very easily. The starter is stronger than my old motor and spins the motor much faster.
