Review on 🛴 Retrospec Ripper-500 Kick Scooter: Ideal for Kids 8+, Adults, and All Ages by Michael Schwegman

We have 3 different scooters for kids so I have a good point of comparison with other models. It's aluminum and lightweight. 8 inch wheels are good and I prefer them over 6 inch wheels. The deck is medium in size and a bit small for big feet. I would say the ideal age for this is 7-12 years old. Our teenager is tall and he doesn't like it as much as the other model with the longer body. Assembly is easy, but the child cannot. The shock is terrible and I wouldn't take it as an opportunity to make a purchase decision. The handlebars are height adjustable, the kickstand works well, and while it's not my favorite design, the folding/locking mechanism works well. Overall a great scooter for teenagers but I would go for one with a larger deck if you have kids with size 8 (or so) shoes.
