
I really like this thread. I had to experiment a bit to find out how much it shrinks after glowing, but once I found out the filament worked perfectly. I used it to make a discriminator for firing belt-fed blanks in the MK 46 machine gun. The scope doesn't get as hot as the chamber, but it's still subject to over 150°F of heat. The thread held up well and in the end the part worked perfectly. I'm not 100% sure what CLP does with PLA, but it's cheap so I'll just print more if it starts to warp or become brittle.
