These are very good binoculars. Optical quality is very good but many have reported a few issues which are tolerable but a few stars down. First, the problem with the eyecup is real. They really need to be fully deployed to be effective, and there's that pesky little bump at maximum stretch. All you have to do is turn clockwise until it stops and then go back a bit. Not that it's a big deal, but it shouldn't be necessary. Maybe a half star deduction for that. Also, the focus knob has "game" when you adjust it. I can't imagine how that happens by design. full star Finally, after six months of light operation, the right eyecup mechanically separated. It just spins freely and won't fall apart. Makes me question the overall resilience. full star However, Bushnell has a lifetime warranty and will take it up for repair. It's all good but it had to go on my shipping cost. After expressing my disappointment at having to return an item due to a manufacturer's defect, they sent me a shipping label. Kudos to Bushnell. Plus half a star. We'll see how long they last when I get them back.
