Crisp, Clean, Bright, Real

Built on Vortex Diamondback, especially with their warranty. Then I saw Bushnell's Bullet Proof. I bought this Revain Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 10x42 based on reviews. WOW! I am impressed. I will have my son bring his Vortex Diamondbacks to compare but I am 99% sure I will keep them. If you are hesitant about which bino to buy among the options in this price range, give these a try. You won't be disappointed and you have nothing to lose.

10x42 is really good for bird watching!

I read many, many reviews before buying and comparing several binoculars. You keep reading that 8x42 is best for bird watching. I compared several 8x42 (we've had one for a few years) and 10x42. I like these binoculars a lot! They are so crystal clear and the extra magnification is just amazing. I don't experience any negative effects from this additional magnification, as is often mentioned in binocular reviews. I highly recommend it. I blind tested the binoculars (didn't know which one was 8x

Incredible looks, ill fitting eyecups

I could list 20 things I love about them but everyone else touched them. Therefore, I will dwell on the only negative aspect - eye pads. They are designed to be rotated counter-clockwise to expand for normal use. But when they are extended, they are very easy to clip on and remove from the binoculars. Once they start to loosen, you'll have to gently tuck their rubber lip into the case to snap them back into place. This happens quite often when you catch them on your shirt or even your pant leg…

  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I have nothing I don't like, everything is fine

I used to love these binoculars until I brought them in for repair. They didn't focus together, one side was in Focus when there was no other. So I sent them with a 'guarantee'. What a shambles. I received a notification in the mail that I could buy another pair for $190 (almost what they originally said cost as Impact in 2013). Damage voided the warranty. I've never dropped them. They could knock me while wearing them or riding in my car seat, but they never fell, so it was foolish to think…

Best deal under $300 I've seen.

Excellent glass. The rubber cover is a bit cheap. Generally no problems. A few months ago I bought a Vortex Diamondback in the same size from Cabela. They felt good in the store, but on a hike I quickly became disillusioned. The chromatic aberration of the rows of trees against the sky was terrible. I realized I needed ED glass and couldn't stop. To my surprise, they were on sale within a few weeks. Sample set received. The difference is stunning. I remember seeing such a big difference in the…

Excellent optics, questionable quality.

These are very good binoculars. Optical quality is very good but many have reported a few issues which are tolerable but a few stars down. First, the problem with the eyecup is real. They really need to be fully deployed to be effective, and there's that pesky little bump at maximum stretch. All you have to do is turn clockwise until it stops and then go back a bit. Not that it's a big deal, but it shouldn't be necessary. Maybe a half star deduction for that. Also, the focus knob has "game"…

Detailed comparison between Bushnell and Vanguard 10x42 binoculars

and Bushnell both have a 10x magnification and a 42mm lens. Both use ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass, have a magnesium alloy body, use a BaK4 roof prism system, are fogproof and waterproof, and both have a field of view of 340 feet at 1,000 yards. Both can be mounted on a tripod using the optional tripod adapter (each sold separately). Both are made in China and come with a lifetime warranty. Optics: When looking at near and far objects in different lighting conditions, I don't see any real…
