Update - 1 year later (2020) - 1st photo last winter, 2nd photo April 20th, we haven't had to touch the lid since we closed it this fall, these clips are very good, wind gusts of 80km/ h today. and don't worry they will last, highly recommended. 2019 - I bought these to protect my above ground pool cover. As you probably know, these cheaper covers are held in place by a string, so after a storm the cover ended up in the pool. It's been a particularly rainy year, so I needed something that would work. I bought a set of 8 of these clips still wind and rain and the lid lifted but thanks to these clips they didn't budge an inch! It's a large 22 foot diameter pool so I ordered a second pack of 12. We just had 5 inches of snow in strong winds and as you can see in the photo these clips hold up great even under the weight of the snow. Highly recommended.
