Review on πŸ₯Ÿ Norpro Pierogi Maker: Convenient Plastic Press for Perfect 7 Ounce Pierogis by Zack Frazier

Save money - use the traditional method

Aimed to save time but proves to be more tedious than the tried and true method (cutting out circles with a cutter). We actually used a Kitchen Aid Pasta Roller to even out sheets to the correct width, which was a real time saver. However, the dough will stick to the press unless you spray generously with spray oil. The dumplings come undone from all the manipulation involved in getting them into the press and then loosening them, so many fall apart as they cook. We've had luck with the ravioli maker (he's had one for years), but the pasta dough is pretty chewy. Dumpling dough is soft, and that simplicity just doesn't work.

Pros
  • Can also make pot stickers and filled pastries
Cons
  • A bit low maintenance
