Review on Allway Tool 07182000628 Caulk Ct31 by Ben Diesel

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Does two jobs mediocre

It's not clear why this tool is called a 3 in 1 tool as it only does two jobs. It removes some of the old seal and then smooths out the new seal. The fixed and non-replaceable cutting blade is quite wide, so it doesn't go deep into the gap between the tiles. In trying to get him to get more (enough) old caulk, I applied too much pressure, resulting in damage to the top of the tub. I was hoping that the tool would remove all of the sealer by digging deep into the gap between the tiles. For this important function I had to resort to a small screwdriver. The second function of the tool is to smooth out the new seal. This requires the use of a rubber foot that has 3, yes, 3 different angles. I'm guessing it's 3 in 3 in 1. The smooth tool works almost as well as a wet finger but saves you the horror of sealant on your finger. :-) I couldn't get a nice smoothing tool to get a nice curve in the corners, so I resorted to my finger and eventually went back to finger all over, which was faster and easier to control - at least for me. a typical Chinese product with very little useful usage information. Usage information is in the attached image. The processing of the tool is good. It would be better if the angle of the cutting blade was sharper so that the blade would hit the gaps between the tiles.

Pros
  • 3 in 1 caulking tool with comfortable soft grip
Cons
  • Some bugs
