In general and especially these sponges are great if you rinse them in the dishwasher every time. It disinfects them and extends their lifespan. I love Scotch Bright sponges. They are THE BEST in quality, durability, ease of cleaning and most importantly the wave shape! This is the BEST shape, perfect for getting into the corners of plates, pots and pans, even with hard baked foods. They really step in and take away the hard stuff. I am spoiled! Now I can't use sponges of other shapes. They also don't tear as easily as other sponges. Although they wash cleaner/better than any other brand, this lighter green stains a little worse than the blues that Scotch-Brite also makes. I bought these because I wanted to see what kind of dot things could clean better than scouring pads. So far I haven't found a niche where these stains clean better - maybe sinks and tubs for foam and hard water stains.
