I purchased this along with two other Goodyear Gatorback belts. Installed them at the dealer when I did the timing belt. At first it seemed normal (for a very short time) but then they started squeaking (I think due to a cold snap). I live in the south east where winter temperatures are quite mild so I found that totally unacceptable. They squeaked when the car was warming up and then shortly after driving, then sometimes after 2-3 km they squeaked again and I made a turn (power steering pump belt). The belts were very tight so I was afraid to tighten the belts any further for fear of damaging the bearings in the drivetrain components. The screeching got so loud it hurt your ears when you got out of the car and it was utterly embarrassing. I bought belt conditioner from my local auto parts store and it worked right after applying it; I applied it 5 times before deciding to give up and buy new straps. I would give this product negative stars if I could because I had to buy replacement belts for those with less than 3000 miles (aside from being embarrassing, I was concerned that the belts would eventually wear due to rubbing, glazing and squeaking wear would no longer work). This line of products either has an issue with the rubber compound or issues with the quality control measures and for that reason I will not be buying them again. I bought the next set of belts from the dealer and found that the OEM for one belt was Gates and the other two belts were Bandeau; You can find all of this at Revain at a much lower price than the retailer. So I would suggest doing some research with an OEM belt supplier and using them as my original belts have clocked 156,000 miles with no squeaks or other issues other than cracking and needing to be replaced.
