Not what you need for Subaru

Subaru oil pans should be sealed with "Fuji Bond" or equivalent ("3M 08672 Ultrapro Black High Temp Silicone" recommended by Subaru). I didn't know this until I missed the return window on this flimsy seal that was doomed to fail. And FYI I also found that Subaru oil pans almost never seem to leak, it's almost always the oil separator plate (very common) or rear crank seal (rare) that is leaking down and onto the oil pan. And to get to them you need to remove the engine or gearbox. Make sure it's your sump before you spend money like I did.

  • Cool
