I wasn’t expecting the surface on the top-side (the side that you lay the rug on) to be scratchy like super course sandpaper. I’m so glad it is! I have zero slippage with my wool/poly mix rug. Unpacked and, to my glee, it did not have a stinky smell. And it’s pretty light weight. And it came larger than the actual rug, which made sizing it EXACTLY how I needed it easy peasy with some scissors. My 8x10' rug is low pile, so this really helps! I wouldn’t say this pad super squishy by any means - I mean, look at the thickness in the description - but it’s cushionier than I expected it to be for sure. I just wanted the rug to not slip around all over the place and now I’ve got comfort too! SUUUUPER happy customer!
