Yes, the thing is huge and built like a tank. The markings on the tape are very legible. Here are a few things that prevent it from being perfect: 1. The band is VERY stiff. And that's good. However, they accomplish this by causing the band to curve concavely, or inwardly like a "U", much more than most other bands. By that I mean the band doesn't lay anywhere near flat, which can cause problems when trying to get more accurate readings in smaller increments. I understand that all tapes are like that and bend a bit, but it's a bit of a hassle having to tilt it to get marks on the item being measured so you can mark them accurately. 2nd color. Yes the color is cool but finding this thing when working with different things is very difficult. I plan to get some bright orange or yellow tape/sticker and stick them over the whole thing to make it stand out.
