Pads are the same as the original. However, when attempting to install one of the pads, part of the brake material fell off. Also, one of the other pads was missing a bottom spring hole. Having the whole assembly disassembled, one of the brakes already done and only one car, I couldn't wait to get a replacement. I ended up drilling two holes (one larger, one smaller) next to each other to make room for the snap hook. The attached photos show the old shoe (dark brown) and the new one (black - mounting hole missing).
