Not worth the money! You are garbage!

I bought two of these carburetors for my Tao Tao 50cc scooters and both were bad! Not realizing this was the case, I took both scooters to an authorized Tao Tao dealer/mechanic and they determined that these carbs are the reason the scooters are not working! What the hell! two out of two!?!? Unsatisfied! If I could give this product MINUS 5 stars I would. Dissatisfied!

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • you could choose a newer model

Great carbs. Works great!

After 5 minutes of installation, a little cranking of the engine (about 20-30 seconds) refueled the fuel lines (keep the fuel filter filled with petrol) and my Piaggio Fly 50 4T which was idling 3 years, started immediately. After that, I barely touch the starter switch for less than a second or two before it springs to life. Didn't even have to adjust the fuel mixture! Excellent price. Don't waste time cleaning up or restoring your old clumped carbs.

  • handy thing

The carburetor must be tuned, that's not a screw in the exchange!

Put this on my Taotao 50. Fits great. The quality seems to be better than the stock carburettor. For all the people who have had problems, these carbs need to be matched to your engine. Especially if you have upgraded to this cone filter from a factory airbox. If you don't know how to set the idle mixture and change injectors, you might want to take it to the workshop or learn how to do it. (It's really easy) My scooter has a '80cc' big bore kit. See it works great with the idle jet that came…

I need speed (low cost)

I have a 2017 TaoTao Thunder 50 which I bought new in May 2018. This is the second aftermarket carburetor I have purchased from Revain in a year. The first one I bought worked better than the factory carb that ever worked right from new. I also removed the airbox and added a cone air filter but never got the best performance. (Just louder but that doesn't bother me) I also tried adding a race ignition system which made no difference. After adding this kit I get another 5-10mph faster depending…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others

Poor quality despite the low price.

Package arrived quickly but the spark plug did not fit my 139qmb engine (standard 50cc Gy6 clone) as advertised. Wasn't even close so it must have been a packaging error. After I installed the carb the moped would cut out every 30-90 seconds and I figured it was because the float valve wasn't working properly which was causing the bowl not to fill. I checked the faucet and fuel supply to make sure they weren't at fault. As soon as I removed the new carburetor and reinstalled the original 4 year

Easy installation on my 2009 Piaggio Fly 50

The new carburetor replacement took just over a week to arrive, was well packaged and had all the parts promised. This was my first attempt at removing the old stock carburetor and installing a new one; To be honest I doubted it would fit/work. Needed to replace the original ethanol soaked GY6 (took forever to start, ran bumpy, 45-60 seconds of acceleration from standstill to top speed, could barely hit 34mph). Removing the old carburetor was easy. , and compared to the new device, it turned…

Simple addition when updating. Works perfectly!

Put on my scooter TaoTao VIP 50cc. Simple addition when updating. I managed to remove the factory restrictive airbox, which was nice and made it a little louder and more noticeable on the road, which doesn't bother me. Plus a slight increase in speed. In the product description the main jet is #75, I had #78. The size of the pilot jet is #33. My old carburetor had a #81 main jet and a #33 pilot jet of the same size. Main Jet Thread Size: M4X0.70 Pilot Jet Thread Size: M6x0.75 I simply tied the…

Good carbs, good price!

Very satisfied. Bought to replace my standard "tamper evident" Taotao carburetor. The first installation took about 30m with a lot of distractions. Now it takes about 5m to remove and install it. Mine was fitted with 33 pilot and 78 main jet engines. First I put it without adjustment and with a normal box and the scooter started immediately. I think it had a little more power, especially in the mids. I was concerned about running too lean with the stock jet and pod filter, so when installing…

First of all I'm not a mechanic, I'm just a regular handyman who likes to tinker. I decided to replace the carburetor on my son's 50cc 139QMB Boom Revolution because, well, why not when it can actually deliver extra power. Modernization of the large diameter has not yet been attempted and, according to experts, is not recommended. The stock motorcycle intake manifold has two vacuum fittings for two hoses, one is the pet faucet hose on the left and the other is on the right. It is not…
