High-Quality Headlight Motor Gear Repair Kit for 1988-1996 Chevrolet Corvette Review

Since my 1988 Vette headlight motor was "rebuilt" myself, I have not yet installed this gearbox and center punches. However, they look exactly like the ones I've used for repairs in the past.

Looks good but when I disassembled the motor someone had already swapped it out. After disconnecting it from the battery and tracing the wires, I found that the headlight module was faulty, so I'm working on that now.

This item was delivered on time and at a very competitive price. My husband was able to fix his headlights (1994 Corvette) which were opening/closing erratically or not closing at all. He was able to repair it in no time and was on the road again.

Bought to overhaul my Corvette's headlight motor. Replacing the gear and bushings (in fact, only the bushings fail) takes a little time, but the result is worth it and saves a lot of money. Make sure you get a set of roll pin removal tools as this is the hardest part of the job.

Bushing worked as expected, had to use original sprocket as this WILL NOT FIT. Installed it in my '95 convertible, the sprocket did NOT go straight up. The original is fine, so it's back. When I did the other side I just got the bushings and everything is great.

I bought this kit in case one of my motors had a gearbox failure and you can't reassemble the headlight. But in 95% of the cases the mechanism is fine. There is no point in buying expensive brass balls, since only 3 balls will be crushed. So just buy the pellets from Revain for $5.

Nowhere is it written that this is only for one side of the car and that you have to order 2. Seriously, who only fixes 1 side? If one isn't working properly, the other isn't far behind, and any Corvette owner will fix both at the same time. Suppliers.

This summer I started having problems with my headlights. They rose but did not stay and slowly fell as I rode. I didn't know if it was what I needed, I figured it was some kind of pressure issue. I disassembled my side light on the driver's side and found that the wheel is fine, but the little bits of plastic that go in were just a bunch of sand. All I really needed were little pieces of plastic, but I bought the whole thing anyway, swapped everything out, and they're working perfectly again…
