2 Set Garden Auger Drill Bits For Planting, 3/8" Hex Drive - 3"X12", 1.6"X16.5 Review

Took me less than a minute to drill 3 holes and erect 3 beach umbrellas where before this drill bit I’d be on my hands & knees for about 5 minutes per hole. Works perfectly.

Hooked it up to my Dewalt cordless drill; and really dig it! (pun intended) your mileage may vary based on the soil you are trying to get into; for example, once I was careless enough to drive it into the ground with a single hand (Terrible mistake, don't try this at home) the bit caught up to a rock and the force of my drill twisted my wrist like a rubber band.Please be careful and control your drill speed and always try to drive it with two hands.Another tip I found useful, don't drive it as…

This product is exactly what it claims to be. An auger designed to be used in any drill for the purpose of planting bulbs. — it is great and worth the cost. It is also great for softening up dirt when planting other plants. As an experienced gardener I highly recommend this product.

Fit perfectly in 3/8" cordless drill, used it to spot-till major section of 30 year old garden, that had suffered 2 years of neglect (health issues). Too congested to get even the little electric tiller in- worked perfectly, but had to sawzall through wisteria runners first. Only used it to go 8-12 inches into soil, and this was NOT the first tilling of the ground, that said, it did the job. Would recommend a 3/8" inch drill, if going cordless, for the added torque. I used it to dig some holes for some plants that came in 4" pots. I had to put my drills clutch on high so when it caught a rock it didn't twist my wrists. I found plunging it into the ground over and over again worked best in my rocking earth. I suspect in rock free dirt it would work far better. I did 8 holes and it seem to hold up.

This is great in a flower bed of just dirt. If you have roots, it will keep unscrewing itself from the drill motor. It can get caught on tree roots and give a serious jolt to the wrist.

Works awesome for the most part. Doesn't tolerate roots too much and the attachment part seems to get warned down pretty quick. But otherwise works great for transplanting stuff. So fast and easy. Just depends on conditions of the ground. I would purchase again.

My soil is clay so thought this sounded wonderful when replanting. Not so. I let too much time go by before using and therefore I couldn't return. Shame on me. I would not recommend it, at least not for a woman.

Worked well for me. I hit a few rocks and tree root and it didn't fall apart. .didn't go through them but didn't break. Thanks for attention.

I received my bit yesterday and tested it today in my garden. The bit is well built and seems sturdy for what it was designed for. I used an old 18vt drill to test the bit. On low setting it powered through the dirt with ease. On fast speed it pulled the drill out of my hand and buried the bit to the chuck. Very impressive. I will be using this bit to find gopher tunnels to insert my Gopher Hawk traps I bought from Walmart. Over all I’m happy with this bit and would recommend it to anyone.

I find it tiresome trying to screw the base of a beach umbrella in hard packed sand. This auger is great and makes the job faster and easier. Trouble is - everyone around me wants me to help them plant their umblellas too.

Very sturdy, powder coat is excellent. I called the seller's complaint department to tell them I couldn't find anything wrong with the product. Seriously, this is the one to buy.

This saves a lot of effort for an older person like me. Far less bending over and the auger has all the muscle one would need in the garden

for the life of me I counld not figure out what the two yellow plastic things do. there were no instructions for them. Regardless, the auger bit did a fine job for me.

I love this product. I’m elderly and it helps me plant my flowers. Makes it possible for me to plant. I also ordered a larger bit but it was too big for my auger. I sent it back, but they refunded the wrong auger bit.

Love it! This auger made quick work of my planting. It makes smaller holes than I anticipated so I’m thinking about adding a 3x12” to my garden tools.
